In situations where a man/woman decides to cheat on his/her partner he/she is seen in a negative light, because the cheater is quickly labelled as a heartless, self-centred and undisciplined individual. However there are many that believe the person that is being cheated on has as much to blame as the person who does the actual cheating.

The explanation to the above is rooted in the fact that in many cases men and women allow their partners to be cheated on because of fear. And it is a common fact that different people are afraid of different things. In the context of a relationship it is usually the fear of being alone that generally keeps people in abusive relationships (believe it or not willingly becoming a victim of infidelity is the same as allowing oneself to be abused).

True happiness and fulfilment can only come when an individual is true to him/herself, and refuses to settle for anything that will leave a devastating mark physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally all because in some way he/she is giving into fear. As stated before the only thing that is worse than being alone is being in a relationship where love is non-existent.
